Moon Lake Golf and Country Club is a 27 hole Scottish Links style championship golf course that will be an experience you won’t forget.
Review By George Bowditch, SaskGolfer
Traditionally, year after year hardcore golf enthusiasts head to Moon Lake to get their final golf games of the season in. This late season golf is fast becoming on of the special trademarks of the Moon Lake Golf and Country Club.
A scenic 15-minute drive along Valley road will take you to the Moon Lake Golf Course which is located southwest of Saskatoon. Before you know it you will come upon this beautiful Scottish Links style golf course.
The golf course offers you three different combinations of 18-hole golf for you and with slope ratings of 125 to 136 it will challenge you to always bring your A-game. In fact, Moon Lake has the highest slope ratings in all of Saskatchewan amongst golf courses.
Following the Scottish links design for golf courses, Moon Lake mixes in water hazards, heavily mounded fairways and long natural grass roughs. Moon lake first opened in 1990 and has rapidly evolved in to one of the premier golf courses in the province.
Back in the early 1980’s, Tessier, Saskatchewan had a railway station that wasn’t being used so it was moved to Moon Lake and now has become a great place to relax after your round of golf. It is a very casual place and if it is full, the also have a heated tournament tent where all your needs can be met. There is also a seasonal restaurant in the Station as well so you can be well fed as well.
With 3 different combinations of 18 holes Moon Lake is an idea place to host your next golf tournament. They have a fleet of 100 Club Car Golf carts complete with state of the art GPS systems to make sure your guests ride in comfort and have course knowledge right at their fingertips. Whether you are host a small 20-person event or 200 golfers, Moon Lake has everything you need to host a very successful and memorable event.
There is a fully stocked pro shop to help meet all your golfers needs and also gives you a choice of many gift ideas to chose from. There is also a corporate gift catalogue for you to view as well.
Weddings can be booked as well at Moon Lake and I cannot think of a better setting in which to exchange your vows. Corporate events are very welcome here as well and the experience is very pleasing. Consider Moon Lake the next time you need a venue for your event.
As you can see, Moon Lake Golf and Country Club can offer something for everyone and is a great place to visit whether you are a golfer or not.

You will not be disappointed.
The conditioning and consistency of Moon Lake’s greens, on any given day, are some of the best in Saskatchewan.
