Product: Discounts at more than 3,500 golf courses and resorts in Canada, United States and abroad. Members receive a 200-page catalogue with maps and lists of the deals, a quarterly newsletter Golf Traveler, and discounts on everything from car rentals to life insurance. Among the 3,500 course members, in Western Canada there are 27 in Saskatchewan, 26 in Manitoba, 56 in Alberta and 35 in British Columbia.
Reputation: The 25-year-old company has more that 100,000 members and is the largest discount card of its kind.
Cost: At about $85 (Cdn.) the Golf Card is not cheap, but it's a bargain considering number of the deals. If you're an average golfer you'll pay for the Golf Card with just a couple of uses and continue saving hundreds of dollars throughout the season.

Golf Saskatchewan Book
Product: The National Golf Course Owners Association and the Lung Association of Saskatchewan sells a compact discount book lists 2-for-1 and 4-for-3 golf deals at more than 100 courses across the province. But, there are no photos and only brief course descriptions.
Reputation: The province's oldest charity sells the book as a fundraiser with the NGCOA.
Costs: For only $29.95, it's a good deal for the Saskatchewan golfer and helps out the province's oldest charity. Using it once or twice pays for the book - see the list of courses online.
Sport Mart

Product: Sport Mart is Canada's online sporting store with all your golfing equipment needs. They sell drivers, woods, bags, sets, irons, wedges, putters and more.
Reputation: With store locations across Canada including Regina and Saskatoon, the company has added credibility and familiarity with consumers.
Costs: There are deals on everything from golf clubs to balls to clothing. It's worth keeping an eye on their "Special Offer" department for great sales on golf stuff.

Product: Golfers can go to a dedicated section where they can find buy, sell or trade anything to do with golf. It takes only a few minutes to figure out how to place a bid on the great set of Taylor Made woods you've been drooling over or see that set of antique golf clubs.
Reputation: Billed as the "World's Online Trading Community, eBay, operates a Canadian version of this wildly successful website. It's buyer beware - no different than any other purchase.
Costs: A fee of a few dollars is attached to eBay transactions, nominal considering the great auction deals you can score.
