Welcome to the beautiful Waskesiu Golf Course in Waskesiu. Located in the Prince Albert National Park, about one hour north of Prince Albert, this course is one of Saskatchewan's finest!

Waskesiu was voted Saskatchewan's most popular public golf course in a TSN/Acura Golf Poll in August of 2000.

Tee-ing off on the 1st hole at Waskesiu, a local rule allows you to re-play your ball if it hits the lobstick tree in the middle of the first fairway in mid-air.

Lobstick trees were used by trappers and traders to find their way in the boreal forest which runs through
the Prince Albert National Park

Keep your shot to the right of the lobstick tree. The green on this short par 4 slopes away from you.

Keep your shot to the right of the hole to ensure an uphill putt on this severely sloping green.

A tee shot hit left of centre will leave a shorter shot into this very deep green.

You are better off short than left or right of the green on this very difficult par 3.

A good tee shot will leave you with a view of the green from the top of the ridgeline.

You must stay to the right side on this short par 5 that has the smallest green on the course.

The uphill climb makes this a very difficult par 4. A tee shot on the left will give you a view of the green

"Mae West". You'll need 3 good shots to get to the green. Trust the yardage on your approach shot.

Downhill par 4 with a tricky green. Look in the mirror to make sure the fairway is clear.

Another demanding uphill par 4. The approach shots will funnel towards the green.

You don't need to be long off the tee, just accurate. Aim just left of centre. The green slopes severely from left to right.

The best position on the green is to be below the hole. Any hole location at the back of the green can be difficult.

Tee-ing off on the elevated tee-box on Waskesiu's Par 3 2nd hole - one of the prettiest tee-shots in the province!	The view down the Par 5, 600 yard 8th hole.

Be prepared to encounter deer, elk, and other wildlife on your round	The view walking up to the green on the Par 4 13th hole at Waskesiu

This par 4 requires a tee shot onto the flat area. This green can be one of the toughest to putt. Downhill par 4 that requires one extra club for the approach shot. The largest green on the course is fairly flat. A tee shot that hits the side hill will leave a level lie for your short pitch to the green. Because of the uphill shot use 1 extra club. Enjoy the view back to the lake. To have a great view of this green, place your tee shot near the top of the rise. The most demanding tee shot on the course. When you get to the top of the hill you will be able to see the green.

The Lobstick Golf Club Inc has operated the course since 1984, and the club has done it's best to create as fair a system as possible for all individuals and groups to get tee times on this majestic public course.

Tee times can be booked in the following three ways:

Long Range in Advance

-Beginning April 12th call (306) 663-5300. Credit Cards are required for all phone bookings and limited times are available.

Seven Days in Advance

-By phone only. Call (306) 663-5300 at 7:00 pm. Credit Card Required.

Two Days in Advance

-By phone. Call (306) 663-5300 at 7:00 pm.

-Or, two days in advance in person - at 6:00 pm, a ballot system is used to prevent long waits in a lineup.

Waskesiu's historic clubhouse is a great place to stop for a pre, or post-round meal & drinks, or for fine dining - It's practice facilities include two putting greens and a driving range - and great instruction from one of Saskatchewan's top teaching pros, Derrick Tallon.
